Sunday Stash #33

The Craftsy Deals struck again! I have now unsubscribed myself from their mailing list to keep myself from more temptation. I've actually unsubscribed from a lot of fabric lists. What I don't know about I can't buy, right??
Anyway, my final splurge at Craftsy included 5 bundles, only 4 of which have arrived so far. 3 are solids and one has dots and circle elements. The one I'm waiting for is Robert Kaufmann Poseidon. The set below is Robert Kaufmann Purple People Eaters and Greener Pastures, Free Spirit Essentials Solids in Soft and Free Spirit Essentials Spot.

I also gave in to the Riley Blake small chevrons bundle. This one is from Pink Castle fabrics using their 20% off coupon. I'm so glad they finally added a purple shade to the line; I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't have had one in the first place.

And, JAQS fabrics have/had their Mystery FQ bundles back in stock. Last time I tried a cool tones bundle and was very happy. This time I went with a warm tones bundle. Out of the 12 prints, I only really care for 3 of them. Not to mention the price went up $3 from the last time. :( So the first picture is of the ones I like, one of which I already have...

The next couple of pictures are the ones I don't really desire. I'm willing to trade these for quality, 100% cotton solids in yellows, oranges, pinks and probably many prints that I'm unaware of. If anyone is interested, send me an email and we'll talk.

Sunday Stash: Meet Marguerite and Friends

Lots of goodies (at least I think so) to share this Sunday. First up, the one that I like the best out of this week's additions is Marguerite by Stitch Studios for Riley Blake. Sometimes there is a lot of hoopla surrounding a fabric line release making one desirous of the fabric well before it actually arrives. I may have missed it, but I don't recall any advertising about this line, yet I find it is so sweet and pretty.

My bundle (which I purchased from Sprightly Fabrics) is complete except for the 3 solid prints. Sorry my pictures are so poor, but that one print on the top left that sort of looks lavender is actually grey.

Next, I have Chicopee by Denyse Schmidt. This is another of her lines that have many dark and more masculine colors, like Richmond. I did end up getting them all (The Intrepid Thread) any way as I can always de-stash sale/trade if I don't use them.

And, I've come a little late to the party with some A Walk in the Woods. When this first came out I didn't see a need for me to have it, though I did like the birdies and mushrooms. I saw a quilt the other day that used some of the bows fabric and I really liked the look so I finally decided to get a bit of the 3 prints I liked the most(Moona Fabrics). The chevron on the end is the missing print I needed to complete my Madrona Road collection(Five Monkeys Fabrics).

And not to leave my local Joann's Fabrics out, I found something that reminds me of Liberty prints, and at pretty reasonable price. They only had a few of these packed florals, but perhaps they will get some more along this line. The grey circle is a nice blender print and the yellow floral was a remnant piece. The cute hedgies are a destash pick up from 1/4" mark blog.

And there was my midweek showing of the Spoonflower $1 fat quarter here.
And finally, my last two items are only temporary additions as they are on loan from the library! Again, I saw some posts by other bloggers about things they are making that involved these two books, so I wanted to check them out.

The one on the left is by the mother of Lizzy House I believe, and the one on the right is the quite popular Oh, Fransson!. There are some really wonderful projects to be seen; more items for my quilt bucket list.

Sunday Stash

I wasn't too bad this week. I only picked up a couple of things...
From The Intrepid Thread I received the almost complete Madrona Road collection. There is one print that Julie was out of, the zig zag in blues, but I'm sure I can find it somewhere.

I just love the sprout and haystack prints.

And from the Deals page at Craftsy I found this FQ bundle of Gypsy Girl from Lily Ashbury. There are some really sweet plaids in this bundle. That deals page does have some pretty good offers from time to time.

Sorry I haven't unbundled this one for better pictures, but these really are lovely with florals, plaids and a few sketch type ala Summersville.

Sunday Stash - Now with 100% more Moon Rabbits!

I skipped posting a Sunday Stash last week so this week will have double the stash goodness.

From one of my favorite Etsy Shops, Blije Olifantje I found these Moon Rabbits in navy. There are 3 other colors I think, but I like the navy best.

And from the same shop, here are a few prints that I thought might work well with all of my upcoming Zakka sewing.

With all of the fun animal prints floating about I've thought of collecting a few to make a fun animal quilt. To that end, I've picked up some Ed Emberly prints, and this Monaluna sheep print from SimplifiFabric on Etsy.

My hopes are to somehow work these Michael Miller Tammis Keefe prints in with the animal prints, though the Keefe prints are much larger.

A few pieces that have been out for awhile, but have just recently made their way into my stash.
These all came from Del Ray Fabrics. There was supposed to be a piece of Birdie Spokes, but that got left out in the shipping. :(

My Daughter is a Star Wars fan (as am I), and thought she would like to have something made out of these prints.

And, with coupons and the remnant section, my little collection of linen and linen-like is growing.

And the last item. My daughter gave me this for Mother's Day!

Stash Building with Stella and Yuwa

Fat Quarter Shop was having a 50% off sale on all of their dear Stella fabrics earlier this week and it seemed to me that there were a lot of good prints for stash building. So, I stocked up a bit. There are so many varieties of dots, and one can never have too many, right? I hope to someday make a patchwork quilt comprised of all kinds of dot prints.
Along with the dots I picked up some of the dear Stella solids, too. I usually only buy solids on a as need basis and I'm trying to change that, stash build if you will.
And, since I was already on a bender, I succumbed to my desires for these Yuwa daisies, honeycombs and Paris map prints at BlijeOlifantje. The daisies and map prints are only fat eighths, but oh so pretty. I may have happened on some true "My Precious" fabrics. Enjoy the eye candy below

Sunday Stash

It's Sunday stash time again and this week my cup runneth over! First, I have this nice little stack of Denyse Schmidt's prints that I received from my friend Fiona. She's purchased from my shop several times and this time she set up a special listing for me in her shop. Some of these are the prints that were only released in Australia, like the red Sweet Nut Gingham on top.

Next, some more Denyse Schmidt! I a few of the Flea Market Fancy Legacy prints in half yards from Hawthorne Threads. I am still awaiting my fat quarter bundle for this line, but there were a few prints that I knew I'd want a bit more than a FQ, and they have arrived first.

I've long admired the Ruby line by Bonnie & Camille for Moda, but for some reason never got around to buying any, until now. It's not anywhere near all the prints, but these 13 fat quarters are a start. These were only about $2 per fq at Handmade is Heartmade. Hopefully I'll be able to collect the rest before they become unavailable.

Since I really like Ruby, it's no surprise to me that I am drawn to Bonnie & Camille's new Vintage Modern line. I keep seeing that yardage will be available in May, but I could not resist this deeply discounted layer cake from Happy Valley Quilting. Such pretty prints.

And, while I was looking around Happy Valley Quilting, this layer cake of Good Fortune popped into my cart. I only have a few pieces of this line, so it is nice to have at least one piece of every print.

And finally a line that didn't grab my attention from the get go, but grew on me as I kept seeing it in my browsing. It's none other than California Girl by Moda. I was able to get the full fq bundle from Passionate Quilter for an awesomely good price. She has a couple of other bundles for different lines that may be worth checking out.

Thrift Store Finds Saturday

Yesterday I went to the early AM showing of Dr. Seuss' the Lorax. It was pretty enjoyable, but I think I could have waited to see it on DVD. After going to see The Lorax I went to the thrift store. Usually I'll wait until Sunday, but I figured I'd scope things out and see whether it was worth coming back for additional sales. An hour and a few dollars later, I was happy I had gone yesterday. I think I found some pretty nifty stuff, and most of it is in the shop, or will be soon.
I'll share some of the goodies here, but it would be way too picture heavy to show them all.
2yds of this rayon/polyester type of fabric. It's all silky, like the material used for scarves. Although it is in my favorite football team's colors, I'll not be holding on to this piece.

How about this lovely Pear and Apple tablecloth? I think it is so funky and retro. Our dining table is a repository for everything but food, so I won't be keeping this one either.

And here's a That's So 70s piece. You might want to put on some sunglasses before you look.

And the final showing for today is another piece of fabric. There's nothing on the selvedge, so no idea when or who it is from, but it is vibrant.

I also found several more sheets and pillowcases, and a few other fabrics, so check the shop if you're interested in seeing them all.

Sunday Stash

Not too much to share this week. I'm trying to save for some must haves that will be coming up soon. I've purchased this bundle of 1930s Aunt Grace fat quarters from Daisy Cottage Quilting. It was supposed to come with 5 solids, but I only received 22 prints, no solids. I do have a specific block in mind for these, which I hope to get to sometime this year. It's just not at the top of my priority list right now.

Next, an assortment of fat quarters that I purchased from The Intrepid Thread.
These are from 3 different lines. From left to right, Desert Daydreams - Coffee Beans in Gold and Turquoise, Verona - Stripe in Teal, Grey and Red, Desert Daydreams - Navajo Tile in Sky and Violet and Cosmos Ruby in Violet.

Some American Jane Fairy Tale Friends from Fat Quarter Shop. I liked these on the shop site, but I'm not sure if I really like them in person.

And finally, I've gotten my hands on some more Metro Living Circles by Michael Miller. A couple of theses prints are from Pink Castle Fabrics
